Whoops – I totally missed this trial. It is probably too late to pass on the ECONOMICSnetBASE to the Econ department? For both ECONOMICSnetBASE and BUSINESSnetBASE, my concern is whether people will find these resources – will anyone think to look for books within a specific database in Electronic Resources? Maybe I am getting Google-ized, but I am becoming more inclined to be leary of any books, print or electronic, that can’t be found from one place such as the catalog. Mind you, I haven’t done any research on this, so I might be way off base!

  2. Hey Britt–totally agree about not having these books in the catalog. It would be pointless to get them if we don’t get the MARC records too. I think they (the MARC records) are available for free, though. Also, this trial has been extended through the end of the month, so go ahead and have a look!
