Eureka to FirstSearch Transition (Read if you use Anthropological Literature!)

February 9, 2007

As many of you are probably aware, the merger between RLG and OCLC will ultimately cause the demise of the Eureka database interface.  (That’s sad for me as it was one of the first online interfaces that I learned really well when in library school…you know you’re old when….) This transition will not greatly impact us as we only have one database that resides on the Eureka platform: Anthropological Literature.  For more information on this transition, check at OCLC’s RLG Transition page: http://www.oclc.org/services/reference/rlg/default.htm or review the transition document: http://www.oclc.org/services/brochures/eureka_transition.pdf.
